WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE THE TREATMENT:

  • The laser is applied to healthy skin that has not been exposed to the sun or artificial tanning lamps (solariums) for at least 15 days.
  • You should not have applied any tanning or skin-lightening creams, essential oils, fruit acids, or topical medications to the area 10–15 days prior.
  • The skin must be dry and clean before treatment.
  • Use plain soap to cleanse the area and rinse it thoroughly with plenty of water to remove lotion, perfumes, makeup, etc.
  • Do not use alcohol or wet wipes to clean your skin.
  • Shave or trim the area as directed 2–3 days before treatment

WARNING !!!

The hair should be 2–3 mm long

This does NOT apply to the facial area

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER THE TREATMENT:

  • After treatment, local erythema (redness) and perifollicular swelling are often observed, lasting from a short time up to two or three days.
  • In case of severe irritation, apply any corticosteroid cream (e.g., Elocon, Betnovate, Budesoderm) to the area for a few days.
  • Avoid sun exposure for at least 7 days after treatment and use sunscreen with SPF 50.
  • Avoid scrubbing your skin with a sponge, exfoliating, taking hot baths, and strenuous exercise during the first few days. Opt for lukewarm baths instead.
  • It would be best to avoid exposing the area to synthetic fabrics.
  • Keep the area moisturized by applying any moisturizing cream.

The area that underwent laser treatment will clear up (of the burned hair) within 15 to 20 days.

Side effects may occur with laser hair removal treatment if instructions are not followed. Inform your dermatologist of any changes in your medical history, as well as any medications you are taking.
